Spraying
Pastures that have weeds benefit from being sprayed as the weeds compete with the grass for the soil nutrients and if left untreated will spread and reduce the amount of grass within a pasture. Different weeds benefit from being sprayed at different times of their life cycle and with different sprays, for example, docks and buttercups need spraying before they flower, but if you have missed the opportunity to spray them we can top the field so they come back and we can spray them before they flower the next time. Ragwort is best sprayed when it is still in the rosette stage. Nick is a member of NROSO and can discuss the best options for you.
